Jon’s love of the outdoors inspires his photography and photography inspires his love of the outdoors. It was rock climbing and mountaineering that initially sparked Jon’s interest in what would become his profession. He’s been exploring sites like Yosemite for more than 13 years. Call Jon’s cell phone on a beautiful summer day and you may catch him in his drift boat or mid-stream casting a fly. He appreciates the time he has to spend doing leisure activities and loves to spend that time outdoors. Come by the studio and Jon will pour you a sample of his latest brew. On a chilly day in November, a stout was on tap. He says his brews have been turning out “pretty good.” Jon’s final “passion” is his Land Cruiser. With a mere 237,000 miles on the odometer, Jon is sure that this new “moon mobile” (formerly a 1993 Subaru Wagon) will take him far. At least as far as the Oregon desert on a perfectly lit spring afternoon with his 4x5 camera and his trusty sidekick, Chazz, in tow. After that… who knows. But you can bet it will be interesting.
